No Apologies Necessary

You will never apologize to me
For taking my heart
One small piece at a time

Love expands hearts, I suppose
Because no matter how many pieces you take
There is always a little left

And I know you will never apologize
For the way you twist those remaining pieces
Inside-out

…but that’s okay
If you never apologize to me
I never apologized to my mother either

  1. You sound like a very understanding mother! Perhaps your mother was your example!

  2. Thank-you Mary, I only hope I can be half what my mother is. She is an example I fail to follow like I wish I could:) I always say that she lives her name, Grace.
