Haiku on Love

It’s safer that way
She says, locking herself in
Or, is she locked out?
A wall with no door
Is a barrier to flesh
But never to love
Love does not build walls
And walls cannot dissuade it
Love can seep through steel

  1. I love this, Janet. I love haiku, the simplicity, and being forced to make the most out of the few words allowed. "Love can seep through steel." Yes it can, and does. I know love like that and can feel what you are saying.

  2. I love this. It resonates with me on a personally level...a dream I had last night.

    Thanks for sharing.

  3. Thank-you so much for your words. These were thoughts I didn't feel like writing... but they wouldn't leave!

  4. Emma, Haiku still intimidates me tremendously, but like you said...I love its simplicity and I find myself drawn to it in spite of my hesitation.Thank-you for your encouragement.

Thank-you for stopping by my porch! I hope you were blessed!
