Mr. Willow

I never told anyone
That I gave you a name
And you always reached for me
Whenever I came

As you read my thoughts
You would nod and sigh
At night in my bed
I heard your lullaby

You would listen patiently
When no one else would
And I never doubted
That you understood

  1. Beautiful, and so sweet Janet :) I remember you talking about your willow tree... trees are just like old friends, aren't they?

  2. Yes...on the whole there is something about trees that captivates my soul! I could write all day on this prompt, but duty calls...I have an unexpected day off, so after a little 'duty' I hope to be back!

Thank-you Megan, for your thoughts,as always!
