Earth turns glad
As fields and hills
Relinquish dormancy
And springtime's splendid
Verdure spills
Its generosity
In bursting bloom
And perfumed plume
In wild, wind-tossed confusion
The deadened slope
Flaunts fragrant hope
In petal-pink profusion
As hearts embrace
The tender grace
Of floral inspiration
Each budded crease
A master-piece
Of heaven-breathed creation
