Yesterday we (mom, dad and their family of ten plus spouses, children, grandchildren and great-grand children) enjoyed our annual Christmas get-together.
It is is the tradition in our family to sing in the afternoon, and oh, for some reason those old Christmas songs seemed new as we sang their timeless Truth of hope and love and joy and peace!
Oh, pray we never weary of
The wonder of our Saviour’s love
Nor cease His peace and joy to bring
As worship to our Lord and King
Ages cannot annul His might
Or dim the fullness of His light
Jesus, with faith let us behold
Love’s story that cannot grow old
From God His Father came I AM
Sinless, to be for sin a lamb
The babe in Bethlehem,
for us
Became salvation on a
cross
Jesus, then let us never cease
To sing of joy and hope and peace
And pray we never weary of
The wonder of You and your love

You've written a beautiful hymn, Janet.
ReplyDeletethank-you:) Are you musically inclined? wanna write the melody?
DeleteI could almost think I've already written it, but -- alas!-- I'm singing your lyrics to a tune that has already been written by someone else :( It's a hymn, and now I'm trying to remember the lyrics, so I can find it, and I cannot remember anything, and it's driving me out of my mind!
Deletelol!! the joys of middle-age memory!
