They must go
Dear Lord, I know
It is the way of life
A little child
Must learn to fly
Too soon the spoil and strife
Of living will
Blow good and ill
Across their tender way
And even now
I see a cloud
Creep up across the day
So thus I plead
Lord, fill their need
With Your compassion, then
If you deem fit
Dear Lord, please bring
The children home again
