Tired of Hearing How Old I Look ;-)

PAD Challenge day 3: For today’s prompt, take the phrase “Tired of (blank),” replace the blank with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem.

Dear Mirror.
I’m tired of hearing how old I look
For the sake of vanity, flatter
Time enough, my love, to embrace
The face-to-face Truth of the Matter

  1. Methinks we need a new mirror ... so as to reflect the inner beauty that ever grows within as time passes. :)

    1. Dear Brenda, that is a very wise comment! and yes, much more value in inner beauty, which is where our focus should always be!

      Thank-you and hugs!

    2. also, this was written for fun. Thankfully as we age we place less value on what we are unable to change and work with what we can!(hopefully:)

Thank-you for stopping by my porch! I hope you were blessed by the visit! I welcome and appreciate, if thought you care to speak; the value and the input of compliment or critique
