Bent on Departure...

PAD Challenge Day 4; For today’s prompt, write a departure poem.

the applause of moments
soon cements
what is before
behind us,
it shapes our visage
and therein
opens our eyes or
blinds us

time's 'take and eat'
does not repeat
but is bent on
a tug-of-warring
employment to
The Future

time's free-fall blurs
in tender tears
and laughter
Good-bye is such
a little word
that echoes

I know today's moments will blur from future to past far too quickly ; having the whole family in for a dinner tonight so Happy Saturday-Before-Easter-Sunday Day!
