We are delighted and grateful beyond words to celebrate the birth of
a new baby brother for Big Brother and Sister!
Thanking God for the safe arrival of another grandson
yesterday morning...tipping the scales at 9lbs. 10 oz.!!
Mother and Baby are doing fine!
Of all the lovely blessings that this life allots, I think
The kind that comes all soft and squirmy, sweet, precious and pink
With button nose and hands and toes so perfect and so small
Must be life’s most sacred and beautiful blessing of all
Of all the beauties to behold one cannot be outdone
The miracle of Baby is beyond comparison
Love overflows the heart in utter thankfulness and joy
For this gift only God can give; a baby girl or boy
The heart becomes a wellspring where sweet wonder overflows
Into our softest kisses and the gentlest hands earth knows
As arms turn into cradles and gratitude into prayer
Because a baby is a miracle beyond compare

Beaming with Big-brotherly joy.
I had the pleasure of telling them the news yesterday morning
as well as sharing their first glimpses of him last night...
which tripled the joy💖
First glimpses...
(I couldn't keep up with them as they leaped from the car
and bolted to the house leaving the front door wide open behind them
and this is how I found them)
Psalm 139:14
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
What a handsome, big and strong boy; looks very mature for his young age :) So happy for you all, congratulations!
ReplyDeletethank-you so much! He is off to a strapping start for sure! I marveled at what a difference that extra pound or two can make (compared to his siblings) He is very strong and we are so thankful (and relieved) I chuckled to Victoria yesterday morning...I said, 'my goodness, what a world of 'dire' details are veiled in the simple statement 'mother and baby are doing fine' ;-) lol! It all went well considering but delivering big babies is NO stroll in the park<3
DeleteI missed the picture of Emily with all three kids somehow, when I first saw the post. What a beautiful sight! I dug out a photo album to check how big Danny was when he was born, he was pretty big compared to other babies at the hospital; turns out he was 8 pounds 5 ounces - I cannot imagine adding another pound and five ounces!
DeleteNo. you didn't miss it. I added the final comments and photo as I reread it, realizing I should add why my joy was esp. tripled! <3 Victoria was my biggest baby at 8lbs. nine oz... I agree. I can't imagine another pound on top of that! It's quite a helpless feeling watching your daughter leave beside a 6ft+ hubby knowing the potential for Big Baby is definitely a possibility! so I prayed and prayed!
Deleteoh I missed this post - what a blessing indeed - beautiful to see big brother and sister with baby. Hope your daughter is recovering well!
ReplyDeletethank-you Trish! yes. everyone is doing well! We are so thankful <3
