For today’s prompt, day 26,write a shine poem.
People can shine. Shoes can
shine. You can shine a light on someone or something.
The sun shines;
the moon reflects that shine; and so on.
Let’s shine through our poems
today.
Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens,
and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
Daniel 12:3
and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
Daniel 12:3
To they who learn to tame the tongue
When unwise words would spew
Are like the warming rays of sun
After winter is through
To they who walk where second miles
Are not witnessed or praised
Are like a seraphim of smiles
On trails by angels blazed
To they who shine like stars and yet
Appear quite meek and plain
To bolder masses who reject
Or treat God with disdain
To they who do not live to please
The gods enthroned within
But serve with gentle sympathies
Their fellow-next-of-kin
To they who give Self as a gift
Lord, bless each one who walks
And lifts thy Light where vessels drift
Too closely to the rocks
