Aren’t you Glad?
Aren’t you glad
When they reached out their hands
Beckoning to you
Come, come
And you closed your eyes
And let them pull you
Too frightened to
Walk, so
They carried you
Forward
Yes, yes
They said
And would not let you retreat
To the comfort of
Obscurity
But they lifted you
Legs dangling
Heart trailing behind
All trembling
Until suddenly you knew
They knew
Exactly how you feel
For somewhere hands reached for them
And now you stand
Here
Glad to be
A part
Of a circle
Of
Friends
