These Ties, Fresh-Loosed...

PAD Challenge day one; Write a morning poem

Plush hush; pink blush
Soft pastel gush
As morn bleeds from
The artist’s brush

Tick-tock; sky-clock
Knock-knock, adieu
As morn dissolves
In halls of blue

The birthplace of
Our live-laugh-love
Unfurls a worldwide
Treasure-trove

Be kind; these ties
Fresh-loosed, soon bind
The heart with tugs
Soft-strewed behind

Morning; Mercy's Celebration

PAD Challenge day 1: For today’s prompt, write a morning poem.

There is nothing in the world that could ever take the place of
Mankind's 'begin again' from God's Mercy, new every morning'.

Meted since the dawn of days
Mercy’s celebration
Runs through heaven’s starry maze
Soft Collaboration
Of what is and waits to be
Past, the peopled thunder
Turning despair’s misery
To hope’s unmarred wonder

Keeping time upon its course
Where love’s invitation
Rushes from dawn’s eastward doors
Like a salutation
From the Hand that never fails
To earth, scarred and broken
Faithful Providence unveils
Mercy’s renewed token

Ushering from That Which Was
That Which None Have Tasted
Rushing from God’s grace because
Love is never wasted
Ignorance disdains The Bread
Gleaming trays deliver
Humility bows Her head
Esteeming The Giver

Joy to the World. It's April

It's April!

PAD Challenge day 1: For today’s prompt, write a morning poem.
and I like Robert's reminder to all of us: These prompts are just springboards;
you have the freedom to jump in any direction you want.:)
...and THAT is an invitation no true poet can resist.
Yesterday morning we woke either aghast or agape at what had taken shape over night...
Hopefully today's sunshine will do away with the color that has no business on April's tray

Unfurled like a banner of grace, blush and gold
The springboard to what waits to be breaks Time’s mold
A highway of hope and possibility
Unfolds from God’s covenant to you and me

Yon blanket of stars thins and flings o’er the earth
The grandeur of color in hymns of rebirth
The grail that refills what was drained by the dark
Burgeons like an ocean soon snuffed like a spark

Night’s fist, a mist-glove yields to a Higher Pow’r
Soft-kissed with the Love that beckon bud to flow’r
Inhale, exhale, darling, hope’s joy to the world
In blush-gold grace-banner of morn is unfurled

Sweet Precious Wow!

After a bit of a roller-coaster week we are thrilled to announce the birth of our grand-daughter
on Friday! Both mother and baby are doing well!

Not ready yet to fret about the ways that wait to test and try
Enough for now to simply snuggle, cuddle, kiss and rock-a-bye

Earth is a plateau where both highs and lows alloy and drive us wild
Heaven is never nearer than in the joy of a newborn child

Not ready yet to think about how soon you’ll sit or walk or talk
Enough for now, sweet precious Wow, to simply snuggle, kiss and rock

All Part Of The Journey

"It's all part of the journey" I remind my daughter as she tries not to fret the arrival of
Sweet Little One not here yet

Now uphill, now downhill
Now tiptoe, now tumble
From green leaf to bramble
Now amble, now fly
New morning, new drama
Like clicks of a camera
Now daughter, now mama
Now grandma, oh my

Now hello, now so long
Now mellow, now too strong
Now glad song, now sad song
Now trembling, now brave
Now heartache, now honey
Now solemn, now funny
All part of the journey
From cradle to grave

Now pushing and shoving
Now patient and loving
Tell me oh my darling
How could we succeed
Without friends to cheer us
Without loved ones near us
Without God to hear us
And grant what we need
