God's Art Gallery

It was Awesome!
Like stepping into a gallery filled with Masterpieces,
as I stepped outdoors this morning to enjoy a coffee while waiting for Little Girl to arrive...
The snow sparkled so intensely one could almost hear it!

Earth’s canvas of four-season sweep
Is day-by-day bequeathed
Where art that grips our deepest deep
Is always heaven-breathed

It paints a poem without words
Soothes scads of discontent
Where art that leaves the heart most stirred
Is always heaven-lent

God makes us gladder than we were
In nature’s gallery
Where art, no brush can quite procure
Grants heaven-glints for free

Mighty Mite...

*Something happened yesterday that reminded me to never-mind-the-mess-moments,
even when it looks like a toy-book-popcorn blizzard hit the house😏
(these pics taken after the popcorn was cleaned up:)

*...for all the slips, stumbles, scoldings, patience loss
the little lad could have mentioned, he told the bus-driver this!
(I picked up 2 older siblings of one of the little girls in my childcare yesterday after school)
Big Sister told me why she was laughing when they got off the bus

Bus driver: Do you have someone new picking you up today?
Little Brother: yup! Her name is Janet and she believes in God!"
and then, Big Sister continued, 'the bus-driver said, me too!'
That 'me too'  instantly changed how they regarded Bus Driver!

Our lives are shaped by moments...
masterpieces are made with brushstrokes and breath-notes!
Let's be mindful artists/composers!
Because
There's a lot at the mercy of moments...

Much, much more than just mere moments
Melting ‘neath sun’s heat, like snow
Meting out in breath-sized morsels
Much more than we’ll ever know

More than muted mist of morning
Kissed with whispers, bronze, gray, pink
More than birth to death, my darling
Falls the thrall of moment-ink

Far beyond triumphant touchdowns
Or the frowns which test our grit
From a moment long-forgotten
Someone hearkens back to it

Then, a moment seems quite sacred
What a weighted mighty mite
As its melds to printed pages
And ages long slipped from sight

Until someone tries the footing
Tastes the pudding, stirs the dust
Stumbling-blocks and stepping-stones, love
Poured into a moment’s Must

What a chariot, this war-room
Battle-plans subject to how
Choices fill the mite of moments
With the height of here and now

Poetry For Eyes

Life leaves little allowance these end-of-August days
for longing's Muse to pen her dues....
of beautiful bittersweet!
But Her whole gallery is free for Beholding...

Nature’s color-palette nurtures hungry eyes
Like a soulful ballad set against blue skies
Mountain-ash spills garnet, ditch spills goldenrod
Hillside spills a garden wild with lily-laud

Tug of heart and soul, oh, morning spills new day
Heaping girth of earth so, with beauty’s buffet
God’s artwork is awesome, orchards swathed in mist
Cradle in a blossom, harvest’s catalyst

Free four-season canvas hung north-south-east-west
Gallery of gladness thrills the mortal breast
Stunning sweeps of summer, flaming fronds of fall
Whitewashed worlds of winter, sweet spring’s budding shawl

Tracery of treetops etched on eventide
Pretty petal pit-stops halt Hurry mid-stride
Periwinkle twinkles, diamond-dazzled dawn
Peach-pink-purple pimpernel, leaf embellished lawn

Perpetual wonder, look ah, look again
Subliminal splendor mantles moor and main
Gentle is its granting, gentle its demise
Nature’s Author painting poetry for eyes

On Doing Our Part...

He does his part
He frills the trees with leaves
Earth’s eaves with blue
He stirs the hold
That bursts in gold
And emerald avenue
He spills to rills
And wind-swept hills
A merry melody
The very air we breathe
Is charged with
 Art and poetry
The girth of earth
Is like a canvas
Every crest and crease
A high and low
Of dark and light
In mercy’s masterpiece
The bird, the bloom’s
Prolific boon
And tune is like a prayer
To He who does His part
To startle
The onlooker's stare
…Then do your part
And let the love of looking
Steal your heart
As you inhale
The miracle
In nature’s perfect art

Awesome Gallery

With all the work and worry of this hurry-hurry place
We sometimes miss the whisper-soft kisses of daily grace
The world is like a wonderland of grand and common gifts
Waiting to be unwrapped by eyes and fumbling fingertips

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder’ cites the phrase
Then pray that we learn to behold with eyes-wide-open gaze
The colors of the world unfurl Masterpiece works of heart
To soothe strict toil and duty with the beauty of God’s art

The earth and the fullness thereof open its gates; no charge
To all, as we witness firsthand Originals At Large
Of leaf etched on a canvas that we cannot touch with hands
Of raindrop-dappled dances on four-season-fold grandstands

Love lavishes Time’s bittersweet with startling commonness
It scatters beneath hurried feet the miracle of ‘yes
Where work and worry of this hurry-hurry place runs through
An awesome gallery of artwork, free to me and you
