A Blue Look At Love

PAD Challenge day 25: The final two-for-Tuesday prompt in April @Poetics Aside poem-a-day challenge is always:
Write a love poem. Write an anti-love poem

Sometimes I hate you, Love
The way you leave me blue
And render me inept to prove
The magnitude of you

The greatest joy of you
Prepares my deepest woe
And sometimes I am torn in two
Betwixt your high and low

Sometimes I hate your touch
A knife with double-edge
I never did care for pain much
But without it
You're dead

Invisible Impetus

Wow, what a lot of Common Task awaits my attention today.
Good thing there's more to it then mere scrub, dig, sweep, polish etc.
Here's to the Lamplighter of the soul!

It’s not so much
The thing we do,
The hard climb up,
The quick descent
Nor is it the
Heart-bits we rue
Scattered across
The way time went
It’s not so much
This have and hold,
The growing old
With push and shove
It’s not so much
What we enfold
As the impetus of it:
Love

Trust's Sacred Prize

Sometimes the things we wish for
Make us wait and wait until
We learn the lesson God intended
…just to trust His will

Sometimes the things we long for
Stirs the heart to realize
The presence of One greater
Who bestows trust’s sacred prize

Sometimes the things we hope for
Are the hardest to release
But God so rich in mercy
If we trust Him, grants us peace

House of Faith or The Evidence of the Unseen

PAD Challenge 24: For today’s prompt, write a faith poem.

Belief is a Bastion, stable and sure
Love is the mortar that makes it secure
Hope is the framework of mortality
Faith is the footing that we cannot see

Without Belief, what crux anchors life’s goal?
Without love what merit sustains the soul?
Without hope this frame of folly will fall
Because without faith we have nothing at all

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
