Now may the God of peace,
who through the blood of the eternal covenant
brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus,
that great Shepherd of the sheep,
equip you with every good thing to do His will.
And may He accomplish in us what is pleasing in His sight
through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever.
Amen.
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more
than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,
to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus
throughout all generations, forever and ever.
Amen.
And we continually thank God because,
when you received the word of God that you heard from us,
you accepted it not as the word of men,
but as it truly is, the word of God,
which is also now at work in you who believe.
Another day of grace bursts from Mercy's fount unfathomed...
Make prayer thy life-work’s precedence
Call on the Lord with diligence
And leave to Him the consequence
Of faith and hope and love
Though dust and ash may seem the fruit
Of hours-long divine pursuit
The will of God is absolute
His promises enough
Do not despair, whatever be
Recall once more, Gethsemane
With yielded heart pray earnestly
‘Not my will, Lord, but thine’
Then be not blinded by thy sight
God’s thoughts and ways are higher than
The deepest discernment of man
What seems impossible He can
And in perfect time, will
Then pray, humbly, unceasingly
Whatever outcome seems to be
God is at work in you and me
His purpose/pleasure to fulfill
Unanswered prayer? no never, though
The answers we sought/thought, do not show
God's reply refines what we know;
His love prevails, so then
Repent, believe, trust and obey
His word is truth, both yea and nay
He will not forsake us, thus pray
'Thy will be done. Amen'
