Gen.3:1
Now the serpent was more crafty
than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made.
He said to the woman, “Did God really say...?
Lord, pray our faith be established in You,
so we are not misled by feelings!
Pray we know the truth of your Word
so we are not swayed by our thoughts,
when the Tempter tries us with 'Did God really say...?
Heb.11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God,
because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists
and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Lord, let Thy truth appoint
Faith's steps, not blinding sight
And let Thy law of love anoint
Faith's patience and delight
Lord, let faith's hopes and plans
Be subject to Thy will
Better by far Thy ways than man's
Prone-to-self-serving skill
...and let the thoughts faith heeds
Be ordered by Thy Word
So that Thy power intercedes
To keep faith undeterred
So that the word faith speaks
Reflects Humility
So meditation's motive seeks
To ever honour/worship Thee
O Lord, Thy faithfulness
Is faith's security
Thy loving kindness bound to bless
Each heart that trusts in Thee
Lest faith's footsteps backslide
(Lord, may it never be)
Let Thy eternal Word abide
To guide Faith home to Thee

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.
They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house,
And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.
For with You is the fountain of life;
In Your light we see light.
Oh, continue Your lovingkindness to those who know You,
And Your righteousness to the upright in heart.
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the Lord upholds him with His hand.
