Here Is Dawn's/Hope's Fountain Brimming...

This post was inspired by an article I read this morning by Franklin Graham
regarding their government's shutdown, which reads in part...
"The true crux of the problem is that our government has largely removed
God from the halls and corridors of our Capitol.
I would encourage the members of Congress to come together for a prayer meeting
with President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence,
and call on the name of God, asking Him for His wisdom
and asking Him to soften everyone’s hardened hearts."

What do you ask Him for (the One from whom all blessing flows)
...before you begin your day?
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
 Matt.6:9-10

He lifts our drooping heads,
cups our heavy hearts,
guides our weary feet
If we ask
He fits us for today's task

This morning might not be quite as colour-charged as yesterday's
but no matter the colour it comes from the same Place/grace!

Into Time’s grace-carved aeon pours
Hope’s mercy-tide from Heaven’s shores
Through Reason’s Bars to broken dreams/schemes
Love and redemption’s goodness streams

A fountain in the desert where
Man drinks from well-springs of His care
Whether or not we pray or hold
The Hand from whence our days unfold

And whether we doubt or believe
He grants the measure we receive
And overflows the banks of night
With Mercy’s tide and Morning’s Light

Sometimes we stand a little to gaze on dawn's fresh foray
then slip out of glass slippers into work-boots of new day!
