We of Time’s wayfaring
While its seasons bleed
Harbor in our bearing
Worlds of want and need
Startled by the plunder
Of time’s fallen ranks
Hearts hollow with hunger
And yet fill with thanks
Subtle, this Becoming
Summer’s tolling bell
Staggers thought with stunning
Vistas of Farewell
We of Time’s wayfaring
Juggle moment-gems
Knowing touch will meld them
To past’s diadems
Jolted by the After
Of soft-sundered noise
We cling to its laughter
Like lost girls and boys
