Elixir of Hope

Dreams nourish hope
I hope we never lose
The will to feel the thrill of
All those untouched rendezvous

To be bereft of dreams
Is to die while we live
While others laugh and drink the hope
That only dreams can give

So dream a little dream
And pray a little prayer
Inhale the glorious elixir
Of dream-hope-polished air

The thing that struck me most after reading Ann’s post the other day is trying to grasp living without hope of something better here…unless we bring it to them!
God, be with the people there on the ground. Protect them and be their strength and shield!

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
 Ps.28:7

Surreal Appeal

The morning sun begins the run
Of what will soon be left behind
As moments drip to fingertips
Strumming the harp-strings of the mind

The burden of discouragement
Melds with the gentle buoying
Of moments as the Is-to-Was
Does not idle on blue mooring

…but draws the eye to my, oh, my
How soon today is yesterday
Its moments sealed upon thought’s reel
In surreal blips of gold and gray

Time does not take a break, but wakes
Us to the tug-of-warring grind
Where moments flow in hold-let-go
To pen the music of the mind

Sometimes, as the music of the mind revives an 'oldie'
it feels surreal, as if it never was...

Shock and Awe Combat

Preemptive Love Coalition Logo

Let's shock and awe
Armed, not with bombs and guns
But with
'the greatest of these'

Let's stun hate
with the one thing Greater
Because hate comes from the created
but love
from the Creator

Janet

The greatest of these is Love. 1 Cor. 13:13

Have You seen This?! Miracle Happening!

(Doesn't that look like a heart in the sky:)

When the love the Lord imparts
Moves to hands and feet from hearts
Miracles happen

When the prayers we pray are wept
Poured in humble, pure request
Miracles happen

 Caring isn’t a Christian’s sideline hobby. Caring is a Christian’s complete career. Ann V.

Whether you prayed, gave, are praying and giving...thank-you for being part of the miracle!

In as much as you are doing it to the least of these you are doing it to me. Jesus

Happiness of May

The hill that long wore brown and sage
And shrouds of winter-cold
Is clothed in vernal accolades
And dandelion-gold

...and where the world was tightly curled
In a cocoon, pearl-white
A lovely color-throng unfurls
Legions winged with delight

The field that waited while the clock
Tick-tocked from fall to spring
Becomes a wonderland unlock
-ing gifts fit for a king

The back-road barred by ice and snow
Is now a thoroughfare
Of pretty maids all in a row
With blossoms in their hair

...where every orchard bower-tress
That long wore scraggly gray
Is ravished with a flower-dress
And happiness of May

Creed for The Life

'On Saturday at Quail Hollow, McIlroy proved just how consistently dominant he has been all this time, launching into the tournament lead with an 11-under par round of 61, breaking his own course record.' USA Today sports
When an interviewer asked Rory 'what now' after Sunday's win, looking ahead to the upcoming tournaments he replied, 'to work as hard as I can and be the best I can be'.
Isn't that a great creed for all of us no matter what we do, wherever we are?

I hope I'm never satisfied
With efforts where I have not tried
And full-applied my utter all
Even when duty's task seems small

I hope I do not disregard
The mundane as a lesser charge
But give the very best I can
Rememb'ring I serve God, not man

An Opportunity To Be Part of A Miracle! Love.

If we don't help them, who will?!

If we were given
More than we deserve
Then we were given
To give and serve

If we hold more
Than we can hold
Then we can give
Fold over fold

If we serve want
Instead of need
God bears witness
To our greed

If we preach love
Then turn away
When God asks us ‘why?’
What will we say?

If you READ THIS without a 'God-nudge' to give then look at, touch your loved ones and read it again!
If we don't help them, who will?!

‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?  When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?  When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’  excerpt from Matt. 25:31-46
