We Do Not Weep Alone

Ps.145: 8&9, 14, 17-19
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion,
Slow to anger and great in mercy.

The Lord is good to all,
And His tender mercies are over all His works...
The Lord upholds all who fall,
And raises up all who are bowed down...

The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
Gracious in all His works.
The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and save them.

Ps.146:5
Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,

Ps.147:3
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds...

On this two-year anniversary,
For everyone who remembers and misses Lucy,
A poem of comfort drawn
from the Wellspring of God's promises...

"You have not truly lived until you've stuffed your face in a peony"
Lucy💗

He heals the broken heart
And binds grief's bleeding/gaping holes
As sorrow yields each longing part
He comforts and consoles

With everlasting love
With hope, not of this world
He soothes the sorrow-ravaged glove
With Ointment of His Word

...and though we know not how,
When crushed by death's fell blow
He raises up all who are bowed
Because He vowed it so

...and ministers to all
Who call on Him in truth
He gathers us close when we fall
Beneath lament, uncouth

...and catches our tears
We do not weep alone
The Great Physician sees and hears
Each brokenhearted groan

He binds the wounds of grief
With gentle, nail-scarred Hands
And floods the soul with sweet relief
From sorrow's stark demands

He heals the broken heart
In His time, In His Way
Meanwhile, His promises impart
All we need for today

Janet💗🙏
