Let's Leave Allowances (for a miracle!)

Due to the explanation here (Poem Tango) I am extending (Love willing)
  the lease on love poetry,
because after all is said and done/won
Love is poetry clamouring to be written!💗😊

This poem applies to marriage or
Love's Common Carriage called 'us'

"Let's keep in mind, storms never stay
the sun will shine again..."

Last week's sunshine-soak-spot😀
(side note; looks like our snow dugout in the background needs digging out!)
Weather is one way of reminding us how swiftly life's landscape can change,
and the only abiding Anchor is Love!

Let’s leave allowances, my love, for fumbles, slips and such
And smooth out shouted wrinkles with a kinder kind of touch
Let’s be good friends and not give up where cups of grace ran dry
Let’s weather life together and give love another try

Let’s be to one another what we wish others to be
The golden rule is not a rubric of antiquity
But is a foolproof principle for people, young and old
And able to work wonders in a badly broken mold/world

Let's keep in mind storms never stay, the sun will shine again
Let's not get so caught in the moment we forget the 'Then'
As much as we are able let's soften often harsh tones
And prove that we are grateful by not hurling verbal stones

Let’s forgive one another and release the bitter grudge
Let love be of sound judgment, then, not quite so quick to judge
What good is pointing fingers when we all bear part of blame
Let’s remember Life’s Author and the love from whence we came

…and leave allowances because we are all learning still
Then let’s love one another on life’s road, often uphill
Instead of clenching angry fists let’s join our hands until
The love of God has worked in us His greatest miracle

Uncomplicated...

Shall we share a picnic
Bit o' bread (scone) and tea? (coffee)?

Shall we go together...

Shall we go together?
Come whatever may
Life is so much better
When weathered this way

Shall we sit a little
Underneath the sky
While the jot and tittle
Of time passes by

Shall we share a picnic
Bit o’ bread and tea
Marvel as a minute
Makes a memory

Mayah Strofflah All (translated We All Struggle...)

The song below I could understand some of the words but not all;
I think the German words might be low German
but the song is good for a chuckle!

...and below, a few I do understand😆

btw, I had Latwarickbrot for breakfast! (apple-buttered bread😅)

(loosely, best as I could, translation)

We all struggle with Old Black (aka devil)
Oh yes, we all often fall short
We all have weakness and blame/fault/guilt
And all sometimes lose patience

We all need loving God
There is no one who has no need
We are all trouble-burdened
Without God, turned the wrong way

Do you feel lonely and grumpy?
Tell me, when have you last prayed?
Are you often depressed and afraid?
When have you last prayed…and for how long?

This world is often not friendly, no
So love and love and love some more
Because we all struggle with Old Black
And all fall often and plenty short

All Fellow-Bumpkins

So much anger,
division, diversion,
strong opinion leading to violence
instead
of searching the scriptures
(therein lie the answers)
Instead of kneeling
before God
with bowed heart and head

May this be a day where we say little
and love and pray much!
Where we exchange opinion
for obedience
anger for grace,
and gentleness and such
A day when 'love thy neighbor'
is more than
The Second-greatest command
May today be a step
in the right direction
by unclenching fists
and shaking a hand

Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind.
Eccles.12:13

this is me...
home-body, home-maker,
prefer coffee to tea...

...but the thing to remember
whether you or me
There's so much more to all of us
than anyone can see!!

What makes you tick
What makes me tock
Is varied as
The streets we walk
But culture, country,
Creed or race
We are all bumpkins
Of God’s grace

Some like the beat
Of city street
Some seek the
Solitude of books
Or lanes or brooks
Or other nooks
Beyond the noise
Of horns and looks

Tis quite a tousled
Thoroughfare
This garden of
Humanity
But no matter
Who, when or where
The same God cares
For you and me

Some of us rich
Or poor or plain
Or vain with very
Fine façade
But that is quite
Beside the point
We are all bumpkins
Needing God

This country we
Call time and place
Is but a stepping-
Stone you see
Before God reaches
Down and plucks
Us from here
To eternity

Some roll with life’s
Punches, some hide
Some deny Truth
And think they win
But we, all bumpkins
God-designed
Cannot escape
The soul within

So whether loud
Or shy or proud
Or meek, small, tall
Weak, strong, mean, kind
We have one thing
In common, dear
All fellow-bumpkins
God designed

...so hello, fellow bumpkin😁

Common Bond-age

We all have a cuppa sorrow
Harbour hungers, hurts and fears
No one knows what waits tomorrow
To arouse laughter or tears

We all feel that vexing yearning
Complex to articulate
We are all still always learning
Learn to listen, learn to wait

We all hold a world within us
From whence hopes and dreams beseech
While the flail of seasons winnows
Times and places from our reach

We all sense the verge of progress
That is out of our control
But we also all have access
To the Keeper of the soul

…who sees wounds and longs to bind them
In whose presence abides peace
Pray then that we seek and find Him
Before grace withdraws its lease

We all have a cuppa sorrow
Battlegrounds no one can see
Save the One who holds tomorrow
With Supreme Authority

Not one of us is forgotten
God so loved the world that he
Gave His Son, Jesus begotten
To redeem humanity

So, though life is full of hurtles
And the sufferings of dust
We all instilled with Immortal
Have a God that we can trust

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest.

When, In All This World...

We are bearing a universal cross.
We mourn for suffering and loss of life the world over,
due to COVID 19.
Let's face it; we're all family.
How about a great big group prayer-hug?!

Father in Heaven we adore You
Father in Heaven teach
us to trust You for no one
is ever out of Your reach
Let faith be our Beacon
when sore tempests roll
Dear Father in Heaven
Let faith in Thee make us whole

In Thy Name we pray,
Amen

 2 Corinthians 1:4
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation,
that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble,
by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

When, in all this world of wonder, have we ever felt like this?
Bound by kindred hurt and hunger to love’s hug and tug and kiss
When have we, though still oceans, countries and continents apart
Ever felt this closely knitted; sister-brother, heart-to- heart

When in all this world of trouble have we ever faced as one
The awareness of a bubble floating fragile ‘neath the sun
Where the blue dot we inhabit holds love's means to bridge each rift
(We are all indebted creatures to the Giver of life’s gift)

When in all this world of sorrow have we let love intercede
Pulling to the same tomorrow for a universal need
What gathers us more completely in a world of us and you
Than when we suffer together and then help each other through

Worldwide Fellowmen...

Suddenly Covid 19 has turned the world into a close-knit community!
Let's all look out for the welfare of each other!
Do you know an overtired healthcare worker
you could cheer in a safe, practical way?

How small and near we are
No one is far away
Where walls and oceans cannot bar
The flight of prayers we pray
So in this neighbourhood
Of worldwide fellowman
With love we lift our prayers to God
And trust His Master Plan

People...

 people...

Kind and loving, gentle, grateful
Blind to stumbles, humble, faithful
Happy, pleasant, patient people
Don’t they make you glad?
Critical, uncaring, hateful
Impatient, unkind, ungrateful
Greedy, thoughtless, selfish people
Don’t they make you sad?
