"people are stocking up, fearing quarantines" someone explained
when I wondered at the empty store shelves...
This verse struck me as I pondered today's situation due to coronavirus...
For if people do these things when the tree is green,
what will happen when it is dry?
Luke 23:31
A few hymns of hope and encouragement...
Do not set us at ease
While the tree is still green
Make us aware in times like these
Of the Awesome Unseen
Guard us against malaise
Of greed and apathy
Lord, teach us to observe the days
Unfolding prophecy
Forbid that we grow cold
And awfully fall prey
To that dire exodus foretold
Fill us with holy fear
For what the world ignores
Where redemption is drawing near
Yea, at our very doors
Do not set us at ease
But keen the heart and mind
To the unfolding prophecies
That warn, lest blind lead blind
