Precious, Little Time

My, what a fly-by this summer is!
Today was no exception💕

Make the most of what we all know
There is precious little of, oh
How soft and swift a day slips by
Just like a twinkle in time’s eye

Make the best of what we learn, oh
There is no returning to, so
Do not waste the haste of hours
Tick-tock takes children and flowers

Treasure darling words like hello
Savour the moments that follow
How soft and swift a year slips by
Just like a twinkle in time’s eye

Count your blessings, not your trouble
Time is like a rain-bowed bubble
Pop the top from flasks of laughter
Long, the gong tolls ever-after

Take the dare to live life slowly
For this gift we share is holy
How soft and swift a life slips by
Just like a twinkle in Time’s eye

Recently I chatted with a lovely lady at a funeral visitation.
Last weekend she passed away suddenly due to a heart-attack.
Reminds us to make our precious, little Time matter
because we never know when we've reach the last of days numbered
before one of them came to be!!!

Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me
were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Psalm 139:16
