Morning Tide

We rise early to watch summer untwist
The vale like a mug filled with steaming mist
For ranting and raving of busy day
Soon takes the morning and snuffs it away

Soft from the loft of time’s unstoppered New
Runs a rife river of silvery dew
Garnishing meadow and gilding the hill
Drawing the shadow from earth’s sky-wide sill

Come, early morning, from legions of grace
Goodness and mercy spill in Queen Ann’s Lace
Sail from the harbor that hails the pale wind
Who among us can one ripple rescind?

Kiss the gold valor of time’s tawny brow
Stir us to honor its incessant Now
Boon of the ages, soon swept from yon slope
Come, early morning, replenished with hope

In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
Ps.5:3

How are you spending your morning? Mine looks like it's going to be green and gold...
Bean-green and gold;-)
