Sometimes I cannot bring myself
To shape thought
Into serviceable words,
Sturdy,
Honest,
Good…
Love wars, scars, gives, forgives
And is seldom
Understood
Sometimes all the gaudy words
In the world
Are not enough
Better,
One
Simple,
Uninhibited,
Nothing-expected-in-return
Act of love
