Submission is the letting go
Of things held, not in hands but hearts
Without it we will never know
The perfect peace that God imparts
Love; manifold, grand mystery
Perplexing pauper, prince and priest
We cannot its true fullness see
Until we make ourselves the least
Happiness is not a drink

We can never be happy anywhere...He knows 'zactly where we need to be for that to happen.
ReplyDeleteI've sometimes wondered if He turns on the happy because we obeyed, or if the happy comes because we're in the right place finally (which he knew all along...)
I definitely believe happiness comes through obedience and so often too when we just forget about ourselves, huh?
