Soul-Survey

Do I love you enough
To serve you in the dark
Willingly,
where nobody cares or sees?
Do I love you enough
To spend extra time
Willingly,
with you, down on my knees?
Do I love you enough
To be a servant
Willingly,
of many a hidden task?
Do I love you enough?
Oh God please don’t answer
These simple questions
I’m ashamed to ask

Inspired by; oodles of grace

He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Tend My sheep.  John 21:15-17

  1. Love this poem, and all of your others, I might add. Tried to e-mail you through your "contact" button, but couldn't. Just wanted to let you know I'm glad we connected. I train hospice staff and volunteers and would love to include some of your poems. Do I get individual permission for each? Obviously, I will give you credit and can add your blog link if you like.
    Have a beautiful day,
    Susan
