On Valleys

To remain in the valley is simply to see
Suggestions of sun-rise or set
Put one foot in front of the other, my dear
Past all of the pain and regret

Life is too short to miss what is seen
As we climb up, above its dirt wall
Valleys are simply the downs in between
The ups making life worth it all

  1. So true, Janet. I don't think we appreciate the peaks unless we also experience the valleys!

  2. Exactly...there is verse from an old hymn running through my head today since I wrote this....thank-you for the valley I walk through today, The darker the valley the more I learn to pray, I found you when the roses were blooming by the way, and I thank You for the valley I walk through today.
