New Year's Eve Party...for Two;)

http://sundaywhirl.wordpress.com/

Vanilla-scented moments, smooth as silk
Melt on Time’s subtle trivet
Dripping over its crusted precipice
Without an inkling of thought
Mission completed
Fodder for genuflection
Air laden with desire
Amorous fantasies
Morphing reality...

...Somewhere a dog barks
As December becomes January
Unnoticed

  1. And just like that, it seems you have written another lovely poem using those same tricky wordle words! This one is a beauty! Vanilla lends itself perfectly to candles! "Time’s subtle trivet" and "Dripping over its crusted precipice" are wonderful images. I especially loved your last lines: "Somewhere a dog barks As December becomes January Unnoticed."

  3. Oh Janet, this is great. That barking dog captures the melancholy of December becoming January so well.

  4. Two poems, two completely different types of love explored in your themes - two successes. Well wordled! :)
