Love Lessons

You taught me to laugh, you taught me to dance
And how to find joy in life’s dirt
You taught me to love ‘neath the touch of your glance
And oh, how you taught me to hurt

How could I know with a simple hello
What a great teacher you’d be?
You taught me to hold on and how to let go
Of torment and ecstasy

You taught me to live in the moment I’m in
And yes, even how to flirt
But darling, I’d do it all over again
For the way you have taught me to hurt
